Springtime Sedona Heritage Museum wedding
Moira & Jake chose a Sedona Heritage Museum Wedding, followed by a more traditional reception the following week at her father’s home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Wedding Day Getting Ready
We began the day at their Sedona vacation rental with detail and getting ready photos. Moira and Jake chose to get ready at separate locations so they could have a more traditional ceremony with Jake seeing her for the first time as she walked down the isle.
Sedona Museum Wedding
While the Sedona Heritage Museum always has beautiful views for an intimate wedding, Moira and Jake’s views were even more spectacular than usual. With white billowing clouds across the sky and abundant blossoms on the fruit trees, it was a truly magical spring wedding. They said their vows beneath a white canopy of spring flowers on the fruit trees as their immediate family watched. The benches hand built by Moira’s dad.
Post Wedding Portraits & Celebration
After their ceremony, we went out to one of my favorite gentle access locations for portraits in the red rocks. Moira and Jake had a chance to dance, stroll, and play together as the sun went down in the distance.
I love when couples have a few minutes to just be themselves in the hustle and bustle of their wedding day.
Once the sun set, we headed back to their vacation rental for a few photos with their two crazy pups, followed by a home made spaghetti dinner and cake prepared by their parents.
Scottsdale Reception
Moira and Jake chose to separate their intimate Sedona Heritage Museum wedding day and their larger reception into two separate days. So after we said goodnight in Sedona, we met back up a week later in Scottsdale for the big reception party shebang!
I LOVE this new trend of combining the intimacy of an elopement or micro wedding with a large reception party later for all the friends and family to join in on the festivities!
