Haven & Adam’s Alpine Loop Micro-Wedding with portraits at American Basin

Haven and Adam chose an Alpine Loop wedding during the height of wildflower season to say their vows to one another.

Adam’s family has spent many years enjoying this small, secluded mountain town of Lake City nestled between peaks of the San Juan Mountains. He purchased a cabin in town as a summer get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. When he met Haven, she fell in love with the crisp mountain air and peaceful night skies. They couldn’t wait to introduce their families to this magical wildflower wonderland!

Haven and Adam chose to have their ceremony on the peninsula overlooking Lake San Cristobal, followed by couples portraits up at the base of American Basin. We were gifted a gorgeous sunny day with blue skies and billowy white clouds.

They included their sweet golden retriever Belle as their flower girl/ ring bearer with a gorgeous daisy garland made by Adam. After the ceremony, we loaded up into their side by side and headed up the Alpine Loop to the base of Handies Peak. American Basin is famous for being one of the most vibrant places to visit wildflowers in all of Colorado.
