Just Married & Ready to Ride
Some couples ride off into the sunset—Michelle and Tim took that literally. Their elopement wasn’t just about saying “I do” but celebrating the life they’ve built together, one mountain bike ride at a time.
With their Toyota Tacoma leading the way, they braved the bumpy off-road trek up Schnebly Hill Road, the Sedona red rock formations towering in the distance. Patricia from Earth Elopements and I followed close behind.
At Merry Go Round overlook, the wind had a mind of its own, sending Michelle’s dress billowing as she and Tim stood together, exchanging vows in the warm Sedona sun. There were no frills, no stress—just two people, madly in love, with a backdrop as wild and untamed as their spirits. Patricia performed a beautiful ceremony overlooking the canyon- simple, deeply personal, and effortlessly beautiful.
Afterward, we explored the surrounding ledges, capturing moments of them basking in the epic scenery. But the real magic came when they swapped wedding attire for bike gear, strapped “Just Married” signs to their mountain bikes, and rode straight into their next adventure. The sun dipped low, painting the sky in fiery hues as they carved their way through the red dirt trails, their wheels kicking up dust and their laughter echoing through the canyons.
Mountain biking has been woven into the fabric of their love story—how they met, grew together, and continue to fuel their shared passion for adventure. So, it only made sense that their wedding day would end with two tire tracks headed into forever. Some love stories are written in stone. Theirs? In the Sedona dirt, with a trail stretching endlessly ahead.
