Tim & Angelina’s Winter Sunrise Elopement in Sedona

A Crisp November Sunrise Elopement at Bell Rock

Tim and Angelina dreamt of a relaxed and private sunrise elopement. We chose the Bell Rock area for its wide range of backdrops and light to moderate hiking paths.

The morning started when I picked up Angelina from their Airbnb so she and Tim could share a first look at the trailhead. From there, we hiked to their ceremony location overlooking the valley. As the sun rose and began to illuminate Cathedral Rock in the distance, Patricia led them through a simple yet meaningful ceremony.

After the private ceremony, we hiked the short distance to the base of Bell Rock, where two friendly hikers stepped in as witnesses to make things official. Then we enjoyed the clear blue skies as the sunrise broke into a bright sunny day. They sat and relaxed with cupcakes topped with tiny cacti as a sweet treat, followed by a first dance with wide open red rock views.

Back at the trailhead, we came across a classic car that reminded Tim of his family and wrapped things up with photos of their rented Porsche convertible. The whole morning felt laid back yet personal in all the right ways, a perfect reflection of the two of them.

Where to even begin. Shannon is phenomenal. We eloped in Sedona and had numerous options for photographers but choose Shannon based on her style and personality. We could not be happier with our choice! Shannon took time to get to know us long before our wedding day and made sure to cover ALL the bases! She even came and picked me up so that my husband and I could do an authentic first look – I thought that was just the kindest thing!! She really knew her stuff – where the sunlight would hit the rocks best, the best angles, and cute poses and activities to make great photos. She was amazing! Cannot recommend her enough and can’t wait to get the rest of our photos!!!
