Holly and Malcolm’s elopement was a desert adventure that ditched frills for red rock and endless skies. They began at The Place at Page Springs in Cornville. Holly got ready in a treehouse nestled in a Catalpa tree—a quirky hideout with a deck overlooking a courtyard and mid-century pool. Her wooden ring box, jewelry, and printed invite brought their rugged style to life. Early June heat bore down, but they were ready to dive into the wild.

At a Sedona trail base, their intimate family braved the scorching day for a ceremony that hit straight to the heart. Vows exchanged, rings slipped on, and a champagne toast sparked cheers. Family photos followed, framed by Sedona’s towering, rugged cliffs. The crew then hit the trail, pausing for a cake break under junipers, the air heavy with sage and dust. Portraits came next on the ledges, Sedona’s raw expanse stretching behind them. Holly’s white Converse, caked in red dirt, and Malcolm’s suspenders and bow tie captured their laid-back cool. We shot a mix of silly laughs and real looks, letting their vibe lead the way.

As the day wound down, we found a quiet clearing on the way back to my 4Runner where they could read letters to each other. The desert hummed, and we were enveloped by a warm summer breeze. Holly and Malcolm were all in—bold, free, and fearless. The day was FUN, and I am so happy to have been a part of telling their story.

The best decision we ever made, besides deciding to elope, was choosing Shannon as our photographer for our adventure elopement. Five stars does not even seem fitting for this review; I’d give a million stars if I could.

My husband and I decided to elope in Sedona, Arizona with 12 of our closest family members. Since we are from Michigan, we were a little nervous about finding vendors and picking a location. Shannon made our elopement planning process a breeze. She assisted us in finding the perfect location for our ceremony and couples portraits. She also provided a guide with local vendors and information on how to obtain a marriage license in Arizona. All of this was incredibly helpful.

In the weeks and days leading up to our elopement, Shannon provided us with an itinerary and was in close communication with us to ensure everything ran smoothly, especially with the crazy heat wave that occurred on our elopement day.

Shannon is super fun and personable. We chose to take an off-roading adventure up Schnebly Hill to Merry Go Round Rock, which was a blast. Shannon is very knowledgeable and filled us in on all the history of the area. She went out of her way and scaled mountains to get all the perfect shots—literally.

After our elopement day, we were kept in the loop about when we would receive our sneak peek and final gallery. Shannon even airdropped us a few videos and pictures she took on her phone so we had something to take with us the night of our elopement.

Words can’t even describe how perfect our pictures turned out. If you are thinking about eloping and choosing Shannon as your photographer, I say DO IT. We are so incredibly thankful for our beautiful pictures and couldn’t recommend her enough. 🫶🏻🖤🥹
