Gabi & Reid’s Full Day Winter Elopement with their Family & Pup in Sedona

Big Adventures, small Moments, and a Winter Elopement shared with their favorite humans- and pup!

If there was one thing that mattered most to Gabi and Reid, it wasn’t a grand entrance or a packed timeline.

It was protecting the little moments.

The ones that make up an ordinary Tuesday.  Morning coffee together.  Reid picking up his guitar.  Quiet conversations before the rest of the world wakes up.  Time outside.  Time with family.  Time with their pup Walden.

Instead of rushing from one part of the day to the next, they built an entire wedding around the little traditions that filled their lives.

We drove to a quiet overlook tucked into the red rocks to begin their day.  The morning was chilly, the skies were overcast, and the winter landscape felt calm and still.  They brewed coffee together, shared private vows as the sun slowly climbed higher, and Reid played guitar while the two of them soaked it all in.

Sharing coffee every morning is one of the rituals that grounds their relationship, so it only made sense to begin their wedding the same way.

From there, we drove over to meet their family at Secret Slick Rock, where the quiet morning turned into a celebration.

Gabi’s dad walked her down the trail while their favorite people waited ahead.  Her brother Aaron officiated, family members shared readings and letters, and then came everyone’s favorite part.

Their sweet beagle proudly carried the rings down the trail on his little leather harness with his tiny ring bearer pillow, completely unaware he had one of the biggest jobs of the day.  Everyone warmed the rings before they were exchanged.

After hugs, champagne, and family photos, we wandered out for portraits just as the clouds finally started to break apart.  The overcast skies gave way to patches of bright blue and patches of sunlight.

Then everyone gathered at Crescent Moon Ranch for brunch.

Instead of a formal dinner, they filled the ramada with breakfast from Wildflower Bread Company, fresh coffee, a beautiful cake decorated with live flowers, and plenty of time to simply be together.  They played games, shared their first dance in the open field, surprised Gabi’s best friend with a bouquet toss, and finished everything off with a bubble send-off for a midday break.

That evening we met again over in the Bell Rock area.  Their decorated backpacks came out, the crowds faded away, and we spent blue hour wandering through the red rocks before ending the day cuddled up on a blanket with lanterns glowing beside them.

By being intentional about the little moments throughout the day, they ended up creating something that felt pretty extraordinary.
